2011 Double Double

Early warning. The fourth annual DD is to be on Sunday Feb 13.
about 60 km - mix of classic and skate - route TBD

Question - Does anyone know if Zac Wheeler has ever completed a Double Double?

Details, please! Skate km's vs. classic km's, how 'friendly' is it, how many people, success rate, etc.

On second thought....if Zac can't finish one of these things maybe I should just forget about it now....

Rob,

In the past we have done 40 km of classic and 20 km of skate. But this can vary a little depending on conditions and available trails. The name refers to doing two outer loops classic followed by two Tanney loops skate. It's not formally competitive, it's just for fun. We stop between laps. There is no support so bring your own food and drink, etc.

Official DD Details.

Sunday Feb 13, 8 am start from WOODfine Cabin.
Free to club members or with day pass.

Route:
Part 1 - Classic
Kaw Easy, Kenner, Owl, Otter, Kaw back to cabin (15.5 km); twice
Part 2 - Skate
Kaw diff, Tril, Wolf, Kaw, Otter, Owl, Kenner, Wolf, Kaw (13.8 km); twice
total = 58.6 km

Format is friendly, fun and fast. We stop between laps for food, waxing, etc.
There is no official support, so bring your own everything.
